Jeremy Musser will man left field, Jeff Heisey will move to
center, and Kurt Seiders will be in right. Tim Mayza will get the start. I
talked to him before the game. He was calm, and ready to execute the same
Millersville baseball game plan that has won them this many games so far.
Rain and thunder have postponed the Gannon/East Stroudsburg
contest in the bottom of the sixth inning. Thankfully, the field is turf, so it
should not have any outstanding effects on the current game, or the game
between Millersville and Slippery Rock.
Marauders On Deck will have to be pushed back. We will keep
you in the know.
UPDATE...6:30 p.m.
Play will likely resume a little after 7:00 p.m. Hopefully the lightning will be far enough away to resume play. Gannon and East Stroudsburg are tied at 4. In earlier action, West Chester defeated Cal 5-0, and Kutztown defeated Mercyhurst 6-1.
If all goes well, Marauders on Deck will happen around 9:00 p.m. It'll be late night at the ballpark.
UPDATE...7:51 p.m.
A worst case scenario...these storms are going nowhere, and the lightning is still in full effect. The teams are in the dugouts, just waiting for the all clear.
ESU and Gannon are tied at 4. Millersville's game will either be ridiculously late tonight, or ridiculously early tomorrow. We will keep you updated here on the MSBN blog.
UPDATE...8:54 p.m.
The all clear has been given by PSAC officials. Gannon and East Stroudsburg will resume play at 9:00 p.m. Millersville and Slippery Rock will play directly after. We will keep you up to date when to tune in to MSBN, which you can do here.
